Shallowford Presbyterian Church is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Chartered in 1984, the congregation has been worshiping in its present sanctuary since 1987. We are a community yearning for a deeper relationship with God that leads us to gratitude, connects us with all of creation, and opens our heart to serve and make a difference in this world that God so loves. We are a community that seeks to honor God through a deep appreciation of music, the arts, and the ancient traditions of contemplation and meditation.

Like so many peoples in the world, we have found ourselves asking important questions of our heritage, and found the ancient traditions of contemplation informing our call to be active in the world. The resurgence in Celtic spirituality has helped us recognize our deep connection to creation, and has led us to a new birthing in the journey towards wholeness.

For further information, see our Expressions of Faith. For an early history, see A Shallowford Reminiscence.

The important thing is not to think much but to love much;

and so do that which stirs you to love…
